Description

Antares has a secondary, or companion star, Antares B. The companion star is normally difficult to see in small telescopes due to glare from Antares A, but can sometimes be seen in apertures over 150 mm. Using techniques of lucky imaging and appropriate focal lengths, can be detected with smaller apertures like in this image.
